why has find my iPhone app just started sending email notifications?

i use find my iPhone to locate my child and its just started sending email notifications yet my friends hasn't got emails
is this a glitch

I've been getting them too. I thought maybe it had to do with the Family Sharing thing since now you can see everyone in your group.

What do the emails say? Find My iPhone app is Apple. So if you get an email from that app, it would be from Apple. It could be scam. Does it ask for information about your account or anything?

Mine are from Apple. They essentially say, "you're iCloud ID was used to log into Find My Phone. If you used it, disregard, if you didn't contact us, etc." I've just been deleting them.

Mines been doing that when I've searched for my iPad, just ignore them at least you'll know if someone else tries to use your account to spy on your location etc
