Should I get an IPad or Macbook Air?

I'm considering getting either an IPad or Macbook Air and I'm wondering which might be a better fit for me.

I have a PC Laptop, which is on its last leg currently. I'll need to replace it soon whether it be a tablet or another laptop. I have an IPhone 5s, and since getting it, I find that i use it for internet stuff quite a bit more than my computer. I really only use my laptop for web browsing, reading ebooks and online shopping - so I'm not sure its worth it to get another laptop.
