why won't my iPhone 5 charge

I have switched out cables (all purchased with my phone) and outlets..nothing. My phone will not charge. My phone is now a $300 paperweight. Sorry, Apple, not what I need. I need a PHONE!

Maybe you could try a new cable,Adapter and see if anything else works in the plugs - Lamp,blowdryer... and see if that works. Cables and adapters do fail. also the cables and adapters have to be apple certified to work with iOS 7+.
