iOS syncing e-mail and calendar with outlook.com?

I am considering a switch from WP, which I like very much in terms of the OS, but am frustrated with app selection. One of the things I don't want to have to deal with, is switching my e-mail address or calendar. In fact, one of the really good things about WP is the integration and ease of use in those areas.

I figure iOS can handle the e-mail aspect of synching with outlook.com just fine, but I am less sure on the calendar side of things. So, that is pretty much it. Will iOS on a new iPhone work well with my outlook.com e-mail and calendar?

Yes outlook.com email & calendar will work in the native iOS mail app. I use them for work & have not issues.
