How do I disable I messaging so that a record of calls is available to me on a family plan?

In brief, I need to have a record of calls made to and from each of the I phones in our family plan. I want to disable I message because its use is denying me this information.

Yep, can do that, but there isn't anything preventing the user of the device from turning it back on (mentioning this for the Ops benefit).

I hope you have unlimited texting on that family plan.
