is there a way to unlink contacts from each other on my iphone 5?22

I went into contacts then groups and it asked me if I wanted to link any contacts and I said yes without knowing exactly what I was doing and now my main contacts are all messed up

The simplest way is if you have your contacts backed up you can delete then restore from your good backup

I did that to not long ago just to see what it did. I was able to undo it fairly easily. Seems I recall an unlink option.
