If Apple has stopped signing iOS 7.1.2, you cannot go back. There seems to be some question as to whether or not they are still signing 7.1.2. Typically that happens within days of the release of the next version of iOS.

You can still try, but you need to find the 7.1.2 iOS for your specific device and give it ago. Otherwise, you are stuck.
