Jailbreak can't restore iPod

[iMore Question]

Here is my situation. I had some glitchy tweaks so I did a reset of the iPod (Holding sleep and home button) and it got stuck on the apple logo. I put it in recovery to restore it and it says updating software to ios 8. But it just goes back to the apple logo and updates and never turns on, it still updates but I dont know if it will work because when i got home it wasnt on there and nothing happened. Please help, this thread is my last hope.

I think you need to change the host address of your iTunes. Follow this apple link here http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4451
Also make sure that your iTunes is upto date.
