IOS 8 incoming call question

just bought iphone 5s gold .......... i have noticed the contacts that i have added locally on iphone with picture ...... when they call me iphone display a larger picture .................... but the contacts that are sync from google their display pic is small when someone call me ........... so my question is if i set all the pictures myself and sync my contacts to iclouds will they always come up as larger display pic next time when i reset my phone ? or contacts from iclouds also show small pictures ?

Yes. Because when you assign the full resolution picture onto the iCloud contact, iCloud maintains the whole picture without syncing it down to a thumbnail.
