Missing Photos In iOS 8?

Hi all, I have just upgraded my 5s to iOS 8 and my photos, of which I had around 500 on my iPhone have just disappeared. They are still showing as on my iPhone under the usage list in the setting app, but only a couple of photos are showing in the Photos app.

Any help would be much appreciated?

if your missing your photos after the upgrade try the following: Go to settings, icloud, and photos. Then click off my photo stream and turn it back on. Hope this helps
