Shouldn't it be time for a new iPod Touch?

I was just wondering since there was an iPod touch 4th and 5th generation that (I think?) coincided with the iPhone 4 and 5 respectively, shouldn't it be time for a new iPod Touch?

iPod Touch 6th Generation?

My thoughts are Apple delayed the 6th gen because the 5th gen was updated & they wanted to focus more on the iPhone. It'll probably come out before the holidays along with the new iPads.
