I downloaded iOS 6 . I have forgotten my password. Cannot change because it keeps on asking for my password. What do I do?

What does downloading iOS 6 have to do with you forgetting your password? What password are you referring to anyway? Lockscreen password? iCloud password? App Store and iTunes password or what?
