pending updates

I have 2 apps that are pending & have been for a few hours, one has a blue dot under it but is still pending. date on the is Aug 22, 2014

Normally the blue dot means the app is installed. Try rebooting device. Hold the power button and home button together until you see the Apple logo then release. Good luck.
