Why isn't my 3GS ringer working?

My iPhone 3Gs will not ring. I have set the ringtone, (all which works when setting them up) but the phone doesn't ring when I get a call. The silent switch is not on.help please.

Go to Settings - Notifications - Phone and make sure that "Allow Notifications" is set AND the "Notification Sound" is indeed listed.

Thanks for your response but I don't seem to have "Allow Notifications" as an option under "Phone" but I do have "Notification Centre" switch which is set to ON, and my ringtone 'piano riff' is listed below that. Regards, Ian
