SMS options?

Hey guys so I'm using messages+ pretty sure it's just a 2 day trial so I wanted to ask a few questions. I' don't want to pay for this as I don't need all of the options that come with it. I just want to know if there's something I can install or do to get the following options. I like that when I get a text my screen doesn't turn on and it doesn't show a number over the messages app. It's as if I didn't receive a text at all until I actually open the message app to look at it. Is there anything I can do to get this other then paying for messages+ another app out there? Thanks

Why don't you just use the stock messages app and turn off lock screen notifications and app badges for it?
