Greenpois0n 4.2.1 jailbreak problem

Hello everyone, I know 4.2.1 jailbreaking is way out of date, but I know it still works and I reeeaaalllly want to jailbreak my device. I have an ipod touch 2g 4.2.1, mc model, and currently it is stuck at the apple logo with a loading circle under it. This is because I did a tethered jailbreak with redsn0w before, yet I didn't know it was tethered. So now, I want to jailbreak it with greenpois0n untethered. Even though it is stuck on the apple logo, I can still put it into dfu mode, so I did as the instructions said on greenpois0n, after it was ready, I hit jailbreak and a few seconds later it says: jailbreak failed . Can someone please help me resolve this problem? I'm using windows 7, NOT MAC. I've found ways to fix this issue, but only on mac. How can I fix the windows so greenpois0n works? I've tried greenpois0n rc5 and rc6, both have the same outcome.
