How do I get old (earlier today) iMessages from my iPad onto my iPhone?
I had accidentally turned off iMessage on my iPhone but it is now back on.
I am now receiving iMessages on both but would like the ones I missed on my iPhone to show up on my iPhone.

If your using the same Apple ID on both devices you should be able to retrieve them on your iPhone with a little work

iOS 8 will address these problem well

Have you tried resetting both devices today?

Have you scrolled up to the top where it says "Earlier Messages" and tapped on that?
