My ipad air has stopped receiving and sending emails, how do I fix this?

Have you changed any settings since it was working? Do you have wifi or cell service? Lastly when all else fails do a hard reset- that resolves many issues- press and hold the power button and the home button till the screen goes out and the apple reappears- then let go- once the phone boots back up= try again. If no settings have changed give it a few hours- the issue could be on the email server side
