How can I log out of ICloud so I can sign in with new ID and password?

I've changed my Apple ID and password but can't change the ID in settings on my Ipad. How can I log out of ICloud so I can sign in with new id and password? I tried using the old one but it didn't work. Jane

I would delete your icloud acct on the iPad and shut it down, Turn it back on and re add your acct using the identical info as the acct on your phone if you want both devices to sync the same info back and forth and see if that works for you.

Or you could have each device with different iCloud ID's. That way each device would have it's own 5 free gb of storage space. Whichever way works best for you.
