I can't receive voice calls on Facebook messenger

I have recently downloaded facebook messenger onto my Android Phone and it seems to work ok, except that a friend of mine can't make calls to me. I can make calls elsewhere and she has no trouble making calls to other people.

I have checked my privacy settings on Facebook (they are ok) and I have tried reloading Messenger, but to no avail.

Can anyone help me?
