Unlock iPhone 4

Hi I'm new here I live in France and my dad recently bought 2 iphone4. Unfortunately they're locked to AT&T who have flattly refused to unlock them - even though their website clearly states that as a former AT&T customer you can unlock 5 phones.

Anyway, that option is out, so I've been looking at different websites to get them unlocked but I can't figure out which ones are scams. Has anyone tried them? Have they worked, or did they steal your money?

You said that you bought them from someone, so you can't get it unlocked through AT&T since you weren't the owner of the devices when they were under contract with AT&T. You have to contact the seller and ask them to do that.

You can at least call AT&T just to see what they will say and there are some unlock services that are legit. You will just have to take your time and ask others like you are if anyone has used these and take your time until you find one you trust.
