I am afraid we don't have a list of serial numbers for iPads so we are unsure what model you have from that information. You can't call someone from an iPad at all, no matter whether it is a cellular or wifi one. You can use apps to fulfil a similar function, like by using a third party app called Skype for instance.

When the OP says "series" can't he be referring to the iPad generation? if so, download iTunes, plug your iPad and it will tell you the basic info like what generation it is, and the S/N. Anyway, regardless of the iPad generation, it is not a cellphone per se, you can make phone calls by using apps like Skype, talk atone, and many others.
