picture library on my i pad original

I have an I pad original and every time I sync to my laptop to add photo's i loose the last file of photo's I put in there.
it only keeps the photo's from the file marked saved photo's

Are the two folders named different? You are not overwriting a folder are you? As long as each folder has a different name there should be no reason to lose one.
