When sending out a mass email (out of office, company announcement), and there is an error (full inbox, account has been deleted, etc.), the email will not go out at all. Is there a way to override this? Outlook for Windows will allow the email to go out, but give a ?bounce back? error stating the error, and not send the email out to those "errored" recipients. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and Welcome to iMore!!!

I haven't had any issues regarding sending a mass email. Have you done any updates to Office lately?

Not sure about the updates. It's not on my computer. I'll have to check tomorrow morning.

I installed an update for Outlook and sent an email to myself and a fake email address. I'm receiving a 5.1.1 error - User unknown; rejecting.

You're saying the mail doesn't go out at all, to any of the recipients if even one causes an error? That doesn't seem like an expected behaviour. How would the email client know that the message was going to be bounced before it was sent? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding the problem, but it's just not making sense to me.

Mikeo007,
It's no problem. You should have seen me trying to word this. You are correct. If there is a bad or incorrect email address, the email will not be sent out at all. It's different on a Windows computer. If a mass email goes out, and there is a bad email address in the recipients, the email will still go out to everyone else.
