My mum was catching up on a TV episode of Vikings on her brand new ipad 16bg wifi and apparently it timed out (her word) is this a setting somewhere or a known problem? Any help appreciated

This happens all the time with online video streaming, no biggie, just reload the movie.

The cable provider could also be throttling the connection speed, especially if you've been streaming videos most of the day.
