SMS or iMessages? In any case, the first thing you should do is reboot your device. The Apple System Status page does not show any issues with iMessage. You might want to check with your wireless provider to see if there's problems on their end. You can also, go to Settings - General - Reset and then select "Reset Network Settings" to see if that helps.
