I have an old contact whi just recently I am no longer able to text. I keep getting wha i think is an imessage response from a different person whn I text. The old contact's phone number has not changed?

The first thing I would do is call the contact by tapping the number in their contact info. Be sure it's the right contact. If it is, ask if anyone else has access to the phone of that number. A child perhaps. If none of that pans out, be sure you have the correct number. Then delete the contact from your contacts. Do a hard reset of your phone. Then add the contact back in.

Why not simply just ask who it is texting you back or call the number and ask whoever it is that answers??

I need an alternative method that requires using iCloud and the Safari browser. I am not physically able to pickup my phone and dial that specific number to find out.
