sync music after update

So, I just updated my wifes 5c, the update went well.
Problem is that she has changed the music on her phone, and itunes says that there wasn't enough room to make the changes.
So, I took off all the music, clicked sync. Says it took off all the music, but then says there isn't enough space to make the sync.
down on the bottom, says there is over 6g of music.
I click the tab "On this iphone" and there is nothing there, I have tried unclicking sync automatically, looking through all the artist/album/playlist, unchecked sync music, still says the same thing.
I hope I don't have to do a restore for a phone that I just updated

Try disconnecting the phone and just under settings and see if the music is listed.
If not then reconnect it to iTunes and see what is says then.
