Is there any way to delete batches of emails on an iPad.

If you are using the native app and what email are you using? say it was gmail all you have to do is go to the Archive folder first if you have that setup or the trash folder and hit edit...Tap on each one and a blue dot will appear. Bottom left hit the trash can and they will go away.
