On my wifi Sangeon tablet, do I need to be in range of a wifi signal for Skymap to function?

We will be in the Turks Caicos Islands this Spring. Any changes needed in the App settings [ eg. Longitude, Latitude etc.] to identify Planets, Constellations etc. from there , as opposed to my home location in Minneapolis?
