My mouse click stopped working a while ago and first i thought it was my battery because my battery died a few days ago. I replaced the battery but the mouse click is still not working. I can use the trackpad but clicking is not working, only the 'touch click', or how ever you call it, works.

I did some research on google but the only thing i find is people saying its a swelling battery, but my battery is new so that's not the issue. And I do feel a click tho.

My macbook is a white unibody late 2009.

Have you checked the settings? Maybe there is something in there that is preventing the mouse from working properly...?

So i read that hitting your trackpad (not hard of course) may solve it, so i did it. I know, sounds like a bad idea. But now the click works sometimes. (with sometimes, i mean once after 50 clicks)

Check battery mine did the same thing a while ago until I looked at the battery and it was expanding. Slight pressure on the internal components causes the mouse click to not work
