I assume you're referring to iCloud. Did you go to Settings-iCloud and ten check to see if Calendars is enabled to sync?

Can you be a bit more specific about what you were syncing on what, What calendar and what device so we can help you better?

Actually the advice you were just given is just as good if not better to see if you had your calendar to sync.
