How do I download pictures from my IPhone 4S to my computer?

1. sync the photos using iTunes
2. if you have photo stream enabled on both your iPhone and your computer, the photos are automatically synced
3. upload the photos to a cloud storage service like Dropbox and then download them to your computer

Not to step on an asnwer but the fastest from phone to PC is to go to iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows and download the iCloud control panel which will create a PhotoStream folder. Log in using your Apple ID and only select photos. Make sure you are on WIFI and open and then close your photo app. Next thing you know the photos are in the folder created. That is it.
