iPad retina display, charging problems

It takes over 5 hours to charge my iPad. I was using the charger that came with iPad, then I purchased a fast charger that says it's 10 watts, dual USB high amp charger. Did not. Are any difference in the charge time. I haven't even had my iPad a year, very disappointed, is there an easy fix for this problem?

5 hours is about right, especially if the battery has been fully discharged. My iPad mini 64 doesn't take that long and my iPad 2 never took that long but I often turn them completely off while charging. That would be my recommendation to you - Turn the iPad completely off and let it charge. Check back in about 2.5 hours and see how much of a charge is displayed.

My iPad 3 takes that long if I'm charging from anything less than 10%. My rMini doesn't take long at all.
