iMessage error message for one contact

His text to me says iMessage and shows up on my iPad. My reply is in green and says text plus doesn't show up on my iPad. My iMessage is turned on and it works with all other iPhone contacts. He recently switched to an Apple phone. How do I correct?

Either delete the contact and re add him or turn off iMessage before doing that, reboot the phone and turn iMessage back on and then re add your contact.

It sounds like you installed the text+ app and your messages are sending via that rather than through iMessage. Are you Jailbroken? because as far as I know an app shouldn't take over default actions. In any case if you do have text+ installed go into the app look in the settings and try to disable the app temporarily. Send your message and see if it goes through iMessage.
