How do I erase everything on my IPhone 4S with no service?

I got a new 5 S Iphone and it is connected. I need to erase everything on my Iphone 4
So I can sell it. How do I do it with it not connected to 3G or wifi?

Go to settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings.

You can do what ed said already without cell service. All the phone is going to ask you before a complete wipe is your password to make sure you want to do it.

I actually think you have to be connected to wifi or network to wipe. I seem to remember that when we swapped out the iPad at the apple store. May have to do it through iTunes

We need to clarify which one it is I assume connection is not needed but not 100 percent sure

With the iPad we had to connect to apple store wifi to wipe.
