What kind of error are you receiving? Many public wireless hotspots require that you "login" and/or agree to the terms of use before allowing you to access the internet through their network, therefore, if you are not logging in or accepting their terms for use, you will not be able to get online through them. If you have logged in and/or accepted their terms of use then you may need to go to Settings-General0Reset and then select "reset network settings". Lastly, there could be a problem on the hotspot's end that preventing you from gaining access. Check with the establishment to be certain and to see if they can troubleshoot from their end.
