CAN NOT GET MAIL iPhone 4s IOS only get some of my hotmail......

Tried the Notification helper on main page for Gmail, Mine does not even show Gmail, I have account not showing and I can't find any place to add it.
But the problem is I get some of the hotmail e mails but not all? and continually get the CAN NOT GET MAIL notice...... Hope there is some proven help out there

1. Go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars. You should see all of your configured email accounts listed.
2. Select your Hotmail account.
3. Make sure the lever is pushed to the right displaying a green background next to "mail"
4. Scroll down to the "Mail Days to Sync" option and then select "No Limit". All of your Hotmail messages will now sync to your device.

To add a Gmail account:

1. Go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
2. Select "Add Account" and then select "Google".
3. When the next screen appears, simply enter the requested information.
