I'm having a difficult time signing in to iMessage

I am trying to sign into IMessage with my Apple ID and keep getting a message to check my wifi setting. my wifi setting appears to look right - says I am connected. Help?

Try a hard reset. Hold in both buttons until you see the apple logo then try again.

Try the reboot. If that doesn't work turn off iMessage then turn it on. Good luck.

According to the Apple System Status Page, there were problem associated with several of its services earlier this morning, and that could have been why you couldn't sign in to iMessage.
