I cannot see any illustrations from an iBook I recently purchased

I recently purchased a book on iTunes and downloaded it to iBook.

I cannot see any illustrations. Where the picture should be are the words "image not available".

I do have IOS7 on my iPad, but I have not experienced this problem before.

Any ideas?

Are you certain the book contains illustrations?
