Mophie case for my Iphone 4

I just got this case as a Christmas gift and the thing won't charge at all. At first I thought it was my cord and then my plug and then my outlet but the only thing that I'm left with is the case itself because everything else is working fine. I've tried three cords, three outlets and there's nothing. When I tried to see if it would even attempt to charge my phone, my phone started flickering and I had to shut it off just to get it to stop.
