How often should cookies be cleared on an iPhone. Mine is a 3Gs.

It all depends on whether you want to or need to do it. If Safari starts to lag, you should clear the cookies and the history.

When cookies are cleared you lose the saved passwords so I never cleared cookies. History is cleared about once a month. Now that I have keychain enabled I may be clearing cookies more frequently.
