IPad mini won't charge

It won't charge or even turn on. I tried to put in my 4 digit code and it wouldn't accept the last digit, screen froze. Tried turning it off but now it won't turn back on.

Try hold lock button and home button together for a minute. See if that will fire it up.

Have you tried to connect it to a computer with itunes ?
