iphone 4 as ipod touch?

If I buy an iphone 4 with a bad esn, can it still be used like an ipod touch; ie games, music, internet access on wifi, etc?

Yes, of course it can be. I know someone who has two iPhones, because one is used as an iPod.

Thank you . . I always thought so too but someone recently commented that the phone won"t work unless its activated first, but then I thought there must be a reason all these "bad esn" phones are out there being sold . . just needed some confirmation thanks!

As long as it doesn't have the activation lock on it, you'd probably be good to go
