Which tablet for kids would provide me with the biggest availability of apps to teach Spanish to a 4 y.o.?

An iPad or iPad mini with a proper protective case would probably be your best bet. Although I haven't personally used one to teach spanish, I have seen some of the other language teaching apps in action (french for example) and they are quite good. There are also some story books (Berenstain Bears for example) that will read to the child in another language, and allow them to tap objects on the screen and have the word for them spoken.
