Managing storage in settings pop up.

I am using a I Pad 2, I keep on getting a pop up telling me that I can't download or update, as I have no more room to do so and tels me that I can manage storage in settings, I went there and I couldn't figure out hw to do it. I looked under I Cloud and it sad I coud buy more storage, but it costs money every year to get it. Can anyone help me out with my robem,as I haven't got a clue, I would really appreciate it.

What size iPad are you using? You will have to remove some apps or media such as music or movies to make more storage room on your iPad.
