If I sign my app at the project level, and zip up my Server.app directory using the --symlinks flag (include links, not copies of the files), then Gatekeeper tells me that the app is not signed. If I include copies of the file, the app appears as signed and runs OK.
The problem is that there is a circular chain of symlinks, so while the first zip is 40M, the second one is 2.4G, apparently only limited by path-length restrictions.
Can you answer why a signed app, compiled and zipped using XCode, doesn't appear to be signed if it includes symlinks?
