iPhone direct dictation to email

For a while I loved dictating to emails on my iPhone 5 and then sending them to myself so that I could cut and paste for my work on my Mac. Older such emails have been vanishing from my gmail account, are not in spam, and the reliability of the text quality of dictated emails has deteriorated sharply. Any thoughts?

None. As for your disappearing gmail messages, are they disappearing from the Google website or just from your iPhone?
