I'm trying to send an imessage from my ipad, but it is asking me to do a factory reset, if I do this will I lose all information on my ipad as well as my internet settings?

yes... but that's not a problem unless you've not been doing any backups.

I've never seen that message...are you sure it's not just asking you to update the software?
