Help with iPhone 5 c

iPhone still thinks it is plugged my desktop to download iTunes. Phone will not turn on.

If it's showing the symbol telling you to plug it into iTunes, I believe that means it's stuck in recovery. If you plug it in to your computer, you should be able to restore the device through iTunes and solve your problem. Had a similar thing happen to me once. You'll be able to restore whatever your most recent iphone backup is.
